Fever Blister Cure - 2 New Solutions To Try Out

Need a fever blister cure to get rid of those annoying sores?  A lot of people call them fever blisters because they tend to pop up right after you get a cold.  They in fact are cold sores though which are caused by the Herpes Simplex – 1 virus which is something over 85% of us have been infected with.  Most are shocked to hear of this, but it is a rather common condition, which is probably why some people would rather call them fever blisters than something more sinister sounding like herpes.

Now genital herpes is another story, however if you want to a working fever blister cure, try out the following solutions:

1.     Abreva + Lysol

Now most people know of the cold sore treatment called Abreva, it’s an over-the-counter solution which is found in most drug stores.  There is a way to make it work even better though and that is by combining it with Lysol.  Be careful with this treatment though as you don’t want to swallow any of the Lysol.

With this treatment what you do is spray the Lysol onto some toilet paper, then dab that onto your fever blister, then when that dries, you follow that up by putting on some Abreva to cover it up.  Keep this up for a few days and it should work to dry up the sore faster than usual.

2.     Iodized Salt

Another thing to try is mixing ¼ a teaspoon of iodized salt with a cup of warm water then applying some of that solution to the sore with a cotton ball.  Hold the ball on for 5-10 minutes and keep this up 2-3 times a day for 5-10 days.

Both of these solutions will help, however they are not a true fever blister cure.  In order to really get rid of the problem quick and keep it away, you’ll need a more potent solution.  Herpeset is a good one which when sprayed under the tongue is immediately absorbed into the bloodstream.  It gets to work faster than any other solution.  You can click here to find out more about it and if its right for you.

Fever Blister Remedy - Step By Step, Easy As 1, 2, 3

What we’re going to be going over here today is a fever blister remedy which is quite potent and has the potential of clearing up your sore in a relatively short amount of time.  Now just in case you didn’t know, if you have a fever blister, this is exactly the same thing as a cold sore which is caused by the Herpes virus, it’s just that it doesn’t sound quite as bad when you call it a fever blister.  So without further ado, here’s the solution to that unwelcomed guest:

Match Therapy

Step 1:

For this fever blister remedy you’ll need to start out with a pack of matches.  Now what you’re going to do is strike a match, quickly douse it in some water then quickly apply the match to your cold sore and hold it there for 30 seconds.

Step 2, The Follow-Up:

Do this again another 2 times before giving it a rest.  Once you’re done, you can follow this up with some ice on the area to help reduce swelling and inflammation.  Do this whole process 2-3 times a day.

Step 3, The Finishing Move:

Now here’s where we’re going to add a little twist to make this even more effective.  At the end of the day right before you go to bed, once you’ve done the match technique for the last time, apply some vinegar with a cotton ball to the affected area and then when it’s dried, apply some vicks or petroleum jelly overtop of that and leave it on overnight.  When you wake up the next morning, the sore should be significantly improved.

Now this fever blister remedy is quite involved and may not work as fast as some other treatments, but it is worth a shot.  If you’re looking for a more potent solution though, have a look into Herpeset.  Herpeset is a spray that’s absorbed into the bloodstream immediately with a spray under the tongue so it works faster than any other solution.  It also does a good job of keeping further outbreaks from occurring.  Click here to learn more about it.

What we’re going to look at in this article are a bunch of fever blister remedies that you can put to work easily that will be able to clear up those nasty cold sores.  In case you weren’t aware, fever blisters are essentially cold sores which are caused by the Herpes Simplex  1 virus, it’s something that almost 85% of people are infected with believe it or not!  So, if you’ve got this, don’t worry, here are some solutions for you to try out:

1.     DMSO

This is short for Dimethyl Sulfoxide, this is one of the fever blister remedies you rarely see being talked about, however if you can pick some of this up from an herbal supplement store it does a pretty good job of getting rid of the sore.  Just apply some to a cotton ball and apply it twice daily, it will penetrate into the skin and halt the growth of the sore and speed it’s healing.

2.     Grapefruit Seed Extract

This is a potent antiviral solution taken straight from grapefruits.  It’s not a good idea to put it on directly, so I would mix It in with some olive oil first and then apply it with a cotton ball to the fever blister.

3.     Lomatium

This has long been used by the Native Americans for various uses.  It’s main use is as an infection and virus fighter.  You can either use the extract or the tincture to apply this, although using the tincture can potentially result in a rash.

Now if you want something that will do the job faster than these fever blister remedies, there are better products out there which can do it in less than half the time it takes for these to kick in.  One of the better solutions is called Herpeset which when sprayed under the tongue is immediately absorbed into the bloodstream.  This is the fastest acting solution and it also helps prevent further outbreaks.  Click here to learn more about it.

If you’re looking for fever blister treatment, one of the first things you need to realize is that a fever blister is essentially the same thing as a cold sore.  Fever blisters get their name because the herpes virus tends to re-assert itself as a blister when the immune system is compromised, such as when you have a cold or a fever.  So what can be done to get rid of these annoying lesions?  Well, here are a few solutions which you can use that should improve your situation:

1.     Tea Tree Oil

One fever blister treatment that is quite effective is tea tree oil.  The only thing is you don’t want to use that directly on the sore as it is quite potent, so what you want to do is mix it with equal parts of olive oil first.  Once you’ve got this mixture, apply it 3 times a day for best results.

2.     Chaparral

This is an old herbal remedy once used by the Native Americans for colds, burns, sores and arthritis.  For our purposes, we’re going to use it to help treat the inflammation caused by fever blisters.  This will also work to relieve any pain from the cold sore as well as help it to heal faster.  You can take this in either capsule form or apply it via a spray.

3.     Echinacea

Check out your local herbal supplement store for some Echinacea.  It’s a pretty commonly used herbal remedy that will act as an anti-viral agent.

Now these fever blister treatment methods will help a bit, however if you really want to get rid of it fast and keep it from returning, you’ll need to look into more powerful solutions.  One of the best available at this time is Herpeset, which is a spray that when used under the tongue is absorbed directly into your bloodstream.  It’s the fastest acting treatment and it prevents future breakouts as well.  Click here to learn more about it.

Have a cold sore blister you want to get rid of?  They are ugly little things to have to deal with but you’re not alone, over 100 million Americans alone have to deal with the HSV-1 virus which causes oral herpes as well.  If you’re one of the unfortunate ones who has outbreaks frequently though, don’t fret, there are ways to attack the problem and get things under control quickly and easily.  Here are just a few to try out:

1.     Tea Bags

Yup, a cold sore blister can be cured with your morning tea bag.  All you have to do is steep a tea bag in some hot water so that it gets nice and warm, then take it and press it up against your cold sore for at least 20-30 minutes.  What’s going to happen is the tanic acid in the tea bag will get to work at fighting off the virus and preventing it from getting out of control.  Your sore will dry up and heal a lot faster by doing this.

2.     Toothpaste + Salt

Another thing for you to try is to add these two solutions together.  Toothpaste on it’s own can work to get rid of a cold sore, but it’s made that much more effective by mixing in some salt.  Once you’ve got this little concoction, apply it to your face, preferably before bed and when you wake up the next morning the sore should be in the process of healing.

Now if you really want to get rid of your cold sore blister fast, there are better methods which can also prevent cold sores from popping up again in the future.  One method is a spray that when used under your tongue gets absorbed into your blood stream right away, this is great for getting rid of them ASAP if you want to avoid embarrassment.  The product is called Herpeset, it also works to prevent any further outbreaks.  Click here to learn more about it.
